Penny, Thailand (Grade 12)
Meet Penny, a Grade 12 graduate and Student Council President at William Academy, as she shares her incredible journey of growth, leadership, and discovery.
During her time at William Academy, Penny stood out as a dedicated leader and active member of the school community. As Student Council President, she helped organize events, bring students together, and even led initiatives such as fundraising for Indigenous communities. Beyond the classroom, she demonstrated a strong commitment to service through extensive volunteering, including supporting patients at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
Academically, Penny pursued her passion for healthcare, building a strong foundation in biology and chemistry while developing confidence through interactive learning, public speaking, and collaborative projects. Her hard work led to multiple university offers, including a $70,000 scholarship.
Her journey is a powerful example of how students can develop independence, leadership, and a clear sense of direction for their future.
